Here at staking4ADA we are of course thinking about ways to help Cardano make a positive impact on the environment. Using a solar powered server for our stake pools is one thing, but more can and should be done.
Until we have found the perfect way to do so, we’d therefore like to introduce small but meaningful initiatives on a regular basis, just to see what works, and what doesn’t.
One of those little things, is to dedicate all of our initial [4ADA3] pool rewards to a 50-tree donation through TeamTrees.org on your behalf. So, if you think this is a nice idea, please help out by delegating your stake -or some of it-, and by promoting our [4ADA3] pool to other delegators.
I am not going to beat around the bush: obviously we also want our new [4ADA3] pool to pick up some momentum, but rather than organizing a straightforward “1000ADA give-away”, we thought it’d be nice to try create some momentum for a good cause as well.
If it helps to make our stake pool bigger, that is great, as the bigger our pools get, the more significant our future contributions to a greener and cleaner earth can become. If it doesn’t… well as long as some more trees got planted in the end, that’s fine too!
As soon as 4ADA3 has produced its first 30 blocks, we will document our donation on your behalf with a screenshot and link to the teamtrees.org website where our donation will be listed.
This is a great idea – main reason i chose this pool. Keep it up! Let me know if there are projects in WA state you need a local for.
Much appreciated! Some patience may still be required though. If after a number of days you still haven’t seen any rewards, take a look at this blog post to help you decide what to do next:

Again thanks for your support, and happy staking 🙂

This is SUPER helpfull information for someone just starting out with delegating. I read your post and it makes perfect sense. Ill keep my eyes on it.
In reading your other posts regarding the testnet and some of the issues with blocks being taken by other pools/lost – is this a symptom of the testnet and will be corrected for mainnet or do you perceive Cardano moving forward with mainnet with this still happening?
Thank you Joe!
There currently are different types of conflicts: slot battles and height battles. You will find the explanation for both on Pooltool.io/competitive.
As the test-/mainnet becomes more and more stable over time, height battles should disappear for the most part, but the protocol as far as I know still anticipates for these simultaneous block task assignments (scheduled in the same slot) to continue.
Which is why it is impossible for any pool to always capture 100% of all blocks assigned. However, the faster the pool server and the better it is connected to other peers in the net, the more likely it is going to win most of these battles.
All the best,
Jos
