Average results for epoch 77. We only were assigned 25% of the blocks we normally should get for 4ADA3. This is fortunately corrected in epoch 78 with exactly 100% (4 blocks), but i’d rather see 175% assignment to average it all out…

Full circle. Coming into testnet, I had no idea what to expect, who to delegate to (had a couple ideas) nothing concrete. I tried a couple, then I stumbled onto 4ADA. I started enjoying the updates, doing a little research and getting familiar with a segment of the population that I had ZERO knowledge of 1.5 years ago. So I started staking here, jumped from 4ADA to 4ADA2 to now 4ADA3. I now find myself watching the stats with regards to block production. Mind you I’m doing other things BUT I happened to sit down and saw that 4ADA3 got “forked” and didn’t produce a block and I got deflated. It was like watching my goalie give up a goal in a match. It was such a weird feeling.. anywho.. I had to share… Happy staking!!!!
That’s the spirit Eric! Sounds as you’ve catched the virus as well–and I don’t mean the wrong one ;-). May be it is time to try set up your own pool one of these days?
You’re right there is nothing as frustrating as losing blocks to competitors. There are so many hoops to jump through that this last one hurts the most.
That’s why I am constantly on edge trying to find ways to improve our speed and connections. One handicap which is difficult to overcome, is that very many nodes reside in Amazon data centers, which means they’re all very closely connected to each other, so if one of them gets a block, they have a slight millisecond advantage… which I hate since imagining all these nodes in power hungry server racks all next to each other does not reflect my idea of decentralization…
Today (march 2) was a good day though for you wasn’t it!?
Was there a problem with Epoch 77 – 78 I have now rewards for both these epochs?
Well, you always get rewards once per epoch, which were produced by the pool you delegated to the epoch before, so… early on in epoch 80 you receive the rewards from epoch 79. Not possible to receive two epochs worth of rewards in a single epoch… the pool itself is not involved in handling reward payments; it is all done automatically by the protocol.
for the 4ADA pool
4ADA has not been without rewards for any epoch, and has been paying out every day…
Yeh sorry about that, I refreshed a couple of times and it was showing no rewards, I did a reboot and now they are there. Cheers all good now.
